Beijing Chaoyang Theatre is a cultural performance venue located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is situated at No. 36, East Third Ring North Road, Chaoyang District, and was built in 1984. In 2001, it was recognized as a National Advanced Cultural Collective, and in 2013, it became one of the first Cultural Tourism Demonstration Units in Chaoyang District. Over years of operation, it has established a well-recognized cultural brand in the field of acrobatic performances, having hosted over five million international visitors. In April 2025, the Theatre entered into a resident performance partnership with the China Acrobatic Troupe under the Beijing Performance Arts Group, launching the “Peak of Acrobatics – China Acrobatic Troupe 75th Anniversary Excellence Showcase” starting in May, with year-round resident performances. During the Spring Festival, the Theatre also features world gold medal-winning acrobatic performances by the Suining Acrobatic Troupe. The Theatre is one of Beijing’s resident performance programs.

After years of development, it has formed the cultural brand of “See Acrobatics at Chaoyang.” The Theatre has hosted over five million international guests, and its acrobatic performances have received recognition from foreign presidents, parliamentary leaders, and members of the Olympic Committee. Beijing Chaoyang Theatre was completed in 1984, designated as a “designated venue for tourism performances” in 1986, and awarded the title of National Advanced Cultural Collective in 2001. The Theatre underwent phased adjustments from the mid-to-late 1980s, hosting large-scale performances such as song and dance shows and dramas for domestic and international guests, before transitioning to exclusive acrobatic performances. After more than two decades of operation, it has established a distinctive cultural brand centered on acrobatic shows. On May 27, 2025, the Theatre staged the “Peak of Acrobatics” performance, presented by the China Acrobatic Troupe under the Beijing Performance Arts Group, marking the beginning of the China Acrobatic Troupe’s resident performances at Chaoyang Theatre. This project is one of the key resident performance programs launched by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

Chaoyang Theatre is a venue primarily focused on acrobatic performances. Through over two decades of distinctive operation, it has built the cultural brand of “See Acrobatics at Chaoyang.” Regular acrobatic programs include bowl balancing, duo acrobatics, high chair balancing, plate spinning, contortion, hoop diving, cycling stunts, and ball skills.

Since 2025, the China Acrobatic Troupe has commenced long-term resident performances at Chaoyang Theatre, presenting the “Peak of Acrobatics – China Acrobatic Troupe 75th Anniversary Excellence Showcase.” In addition, the Theatre also stages large-scale audio-visual Chinese-style acrobatic dramas such as “The Legend of National Rhyme.” Beyond its core acrobatic offerings, the Theatre also hosts diverse cultural programs including dance dramas, stage plays, and family-friendly productions. Chaoyang Theatre has a seating capacity of approximately 1,300. The ground floor has 23 rows, with 15 seats per row in the middle section and 37 seats per row at the back, accommodating over 800 people in total. The second floor has 598 seats. The Theatre has completed intelligent upgrades to its stage equipment.

The Theatre has also completed service system innovations. Opening hours are the first session from 17:15–18:15 and the second session from 19:15–20:30. For tickets, VIP tickets are categorized into zones A, B, C, D, and E. Children under 1.0 meters in height may purchase discounted tickets.
