Beijing Liyuan Theatre has been presenting traditional Peking Opera since 1990, and it is widely recognized as one of the important places where Beijing Opera culture developed.
Before the show starts, guests are welcome to step into the makeup room and observe how the performers prepare their stage appearance. The theatre also offers a selection of Beijing Opera-themed souvenirs for visitors to browse and purchase. During the experience, staff members dressed in Tang suits will serve tea with long-spouted teapots while introducing the basics of Beijing Opera in English.
